Investing in Our Students’ Future

Every student in Hoke County deserves a safe, supportive learning environment and opportunities to prepare for college, a career, and adult life. Strengthening education means listening to families and educators, addressing facility needs, and making responsible investments that support student success.

As your county commissioner, I will work with the Board of Education, school leaders, and state partners to identify funding priorities and plan for our growing community. My priorities will include supporting school facility improvements, evaluating local funding for employee recruitment and retention, and encouraging clear communication about how county education dollars are used.

I will also encourage partnerships among schools, community colleges, and employers to expand career exploration, technical training, and workforce opportunities. Students should have access to pathways that reflect their interests and abilities, while families should have meaningful opportunities to share their concerns.

Respecting the school board’s responsibility for educational policies and operations, I will focus on the county’s role in funding, planning, and collaboration. My goal is to help provide the resources and partnerships our schools need so more students can build successful futures.
