Accountability Starts With Leadership
Hoke County residents deserve a government that earns their trust through honest conduct, open decision-making, and responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars. Public office carries a responsibility to serve the community and uphold clear ethical standards.
As your county commissioner, I will support transparent budgeting, accessible public records, and clear explanations of major spending decisions. I will advocate for consistent purchasing procedures, disclosure of conflicts of interest, and appropriate independent review of county finances and operations.
Residents and county employees should be able to raise concerns about potential misconduct without fear of retaliation. I will support clear reporting channels, fair review processes, and timely corrective action when wrongdoing is substantiated.
Good governance also requires meaningful public participation. I will welcome questions and criticism, encourage understandable meeting materials, and support regular reporting on county priorities and results.
My goal is to strengthen a culture of accountability where ethical standards apply equally, public resources serve public needs, and residents can see how decisions are made.
