Hoke County residents deserve to understand how their government makes decisions, spends taxpayer dollars, and sets priorities. Transparency means making information accessible, explaining decisions clearly, and giving the public meaningful opportunities to ask questions.
As your county commissioner, I will support timely access to meeting agendas, minutes, budget information, and public records. I will advocate for straightforward explanations of major projects, contracts, and spending proposals so residents can understand their costs, purpose, and expected benefits.
I will also encourage regular updates on county initiatives, including progress, delays, and changes in cost. Residents should be able to follow a project from its approval through completion and understand who is responsible for delivering results.
Open government requires listening as well as sharing information. I will welcome questions, respect differing viewpoints, and support public participation in county decisions.
My goal is to help build trust through clear communication and accountability, ensuring that Hoke County residents have the information they need to stay involved.
